Contest: The Haunted Theatre Photo Scavenger Hunt

This year’s Posters for The Haunted Theatre hit the streets over the past weekend.  You’ll find our dancing skeleton witches gracing the windows of local businesses and bulletin boards in libraries and community centers all over the Tacoma area.  What does this mean to you, you ask?  It means that it is time (now through October 19th) for a Photo Scavenger Hunt!

We had fun with our Scavenger Hunt last year, but thought they could use a little spicing up.  So this year, we are expanding the ways you can participate and adding bonus points for creativity.  Snap photos around town and then submit them to us through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, any online photo sharing site, or via email.  Get a point for each submission, and add bonus points through your own creativity and the reactions you get from others.

The Fine Print

1. Each photo must contain at least one of the following:
   1. A 2012 The Haunted Theatre Poster
   2. A 2012 The Haunted Theatre Postcard included in a Halloween scene*
   3. A member of the cast of The Haunted Theatre
   4. Tacoma City Ballet
2. Each submission must have a caption mentioning The Haunted Theatre and/or Tacoma City Ballet.
3. Each submission must connect back to us – tag us on Facebook or Twitter (@TacCityBallet), link to The Haunted Theatre’s ticketing page from  your Pinterest pin, or share a link to your online photo album on Snapfish or Flickr, or submit via email with permission to post your photos online.

Bonus Points for…

• Creative Captions – make us laugh or make us think!
• Creative Poses – what can you come up with?
• Cute Kids in the Photo – who doesn’t like looking at photos of cute kids?
• Interesting Comments on your Entry – we’re looking for more than “cute,” or “sweet,” here.  But we’ll stack on points for conversations that grab our attention.
• Posing like the dancing witch skeleton – how close can you come to her lovely broom-holding arabesque?  Extra bonus points for costumes and props!
• Tag Other Businesses – did you take your photo at Starbucks?  Or Frisko Freeze?  Tag them in your photo!
• Attending the Facebook Event – have you already “joined” the Facebook Event for The Haunted Theatre? We’ll tack bonus points onto your first submission if so.
• Inviting friends to Facebook Event – send us a screen shot of your invitation and we’ll award some more points!
• Re-pins – the more creative/cuter your photo, the more likely it will be re-pinned.  And we’ll reward that!
• Re-tweets – say something interesting and watch the RTs pile up.  Bonus, bonus, bonus!
• What Else can You Think Of? - did we miss something that could help spread the word about The Haunted Theatre?  Give it a try – we’ll update this page with your ideas AND there are extra bonus points for inventing a bonus point category!

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to participants with the top three point totals.   A fourth prize will be awarded to a randomly selected winner drawn from the pool of participants with ten points or more!

• 4 Tickets to a Storybook Ballet Theatre Traditional Performance
